Where believing is seeing . . .

Worship with us at 10 AM every Sunday.

Rev. Marilyn Bowens

On behalf of the Board of Directors and congregation of MCC-New Haven, please accept our heartfelt welcome to come and worship with us.  We are a diverse Christian community, enjoying a season of amazing growth and transformation!

You are welcome here just as you are, because we believe that “whosoever” (John 3:16) means just that.  We will do our best to support your journey into personal relationship with God and your development of authentic faith.  We may not be the church for everyone, but we are here for anyone in need of healing, reconciliation, and peaceful fellowship with God and with other believers in God’s unconditional love for all of humanity.

Come check us out!  This just might be the church that you can come “home” to!

News

We need your help. Volunteers are needed each Sunday to help set up the "Sanctuary" and to put away the chairs etc after worship has finished. As they say "Many hands make light work" - based on Exodus 18: 18-23

NewsMINISTRY IN MOTION - 2010 TONS OF FOOD---“packing on the food for Jesus!”
FINAL RESULTS: 1,157.2 pounds!  MCCNH participated along with other New Haven congregations collecting food for local food pantries.  MORE THAN DOUBLE THE COLLECTION LAST YEAR!!
The food was given to the food pantry on the corner and the cash donation ($200) given to APNH (AIDS Project New Haven).  A BIG THANK YOU to all those who participated!  There will be many families that will not go hungry…because of you and the ‘fruits’ of this church collaboration.

Coffee Hour
We are enjoying our weekly coffee hour and fellowship following morning worship.  Special thanks to Christine for setting up and for the wonderful decorations!  We need a few more volunteers to help out and to bring goodies to share.

Upcoming Events

MCC New Haven's monthly Prayer Meeting will be held this Wednesday June 2 at 7 PM at the UCC Parish House where we worship.

On Sunday June 6, we welcome back Rev. Joan Sanuik as our special guest preacher!

Connecticut PRIDE Rally and Festival is this Saturday June 5 in Hartford's Bushnell Park.  If you go, be sure to say hello to our sister congregation MCC Hartford.

Fairfield County One Heart, One World, One Pride, sponsored by TCC is on Saturday June 19 in Norwalk.  MCC New Haven needs volunteers to represent our church.  Please consider helping out.

CALLING ALL ANGELS  As part of our outreach Ministry in Motion (MIM), our church is challenging each of us to go out into the community and make a difference.  Can you give 10 hours of your time by the end of this year (this equates to 12½ minutes per week--we spend more time buying coffee!) to volunteer at a:
·         shelter
·         food kitchen
·         nursing home
·         animal shelter
·         food bank
·         school
·         any other volunteer activity – that might be your ‘passion’

Join us in giving a gift of caring and compassion.  For, it is in the giving that we (all) receive.

If you ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE…simply email the church at: alm.mccnh@att.net.  Let us know how you volunteered and the amount of time spent.  Share how it touched you and others, as well.
